STUDENT RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

STUDENT STANDARDS/HONOR CODE
1. As a student of the Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School, I will apply myself to my intellectual pursuits and to use the full powers of my mind for the glory of God.

2. I am determined to grow spiritually and to deepen my relationship with God.

3. I will cultivate good relationships socially with others and strive to love others as I love myself. I will not lie, steal, curse, or be a talebearer.

4. I will keep my total being under subjection from all immoral and illegal acts and habits. I will not engage in other behavior that is contrary to the rules and regulations listed in this catalog.

5. I will maintain an integrity of “openness” to God’s claims on my life, and to do my utmost to know and follow His will for my life.

6. I will attempt to make every effort to be prompt to classes, Sunday worship, and all appointments.

7. I will abide by the rules and regulations which may from time to time be adopted by the School’s Administration. I understand the Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School is a private school and I , therefore, have no vested rights in the governing of the school. I accept my attendance at the Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School as a PRIVILEGE and NOT a right, and that the School reserves the right to require the withdrawal of a student at any time if in the judgment of the Academic Dean or of the Board such actions is deemed necessary to safeguard the Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School’s ideals of scholarship or the spiritual and moral atmosphere.
I will keep the HONOR CODE carefully and prayerfully. I understand that my signature is my acceptance of the entire Code of Honor and completes a contract between me and the Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School which is a prerequisite for enrollment and becomes a part of my permanent file.

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION
The Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School holds that the right of expression is as necessary as the right of inquiry and that both must be preserved as essential to the pursuit and dissemination of knowledge and truth. Consequently, students, individually and collectively, may express their views through the normal faculty and administrative channels of communication.

The Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School affirms that all men are created in the image of God and, therefore, are entitled to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities without regard to race, color, or national origin. The Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School, therefore, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational or admissions policies, or other programs affecting students. In the light of the Holy Scripture the School does not discriminate against students on the basis of sex.

First Night of Class
If you have any application forms to process, come early to handle such matters. Also any textbooks which have not been received may be purchased at that time. All students will meet for a welcome to the new semester and room assignments.

Books
The estimated cost of books per course is __________________. Books can be purchased in the Evangel Cathedral Bookstore (M-F, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm) or prior to classes the first week of each semester.

Repeating Courses
Once you have successfully completed a the Evangel Cathedral Central Bible School course, you may “sit-in” and repeat the course in future semesters free of charge. One must pre-register for the course; and providing there is adequate seating, the student will be allowed enrollment.
